M+C: Fall Mountain Wedding Bliss in Idaho

Nature Lovers: Picture-Perfect Fall Season in Garden Valley, Idaho

M+C’s choice to have their Idaho mountain destination wedding in early October was on point. October is the perfect month for a wedding in Idaho, especially for those who love the mountains, fall foliage, and comfortable weather. With the summer heat gone and winter cold yet to come, October offers a pleasant climate with average temperatures ranging from 45°F to 65°F. The colorful fall foliage adds a scenic backdrop to any wedding, making it a photographer's paradise. The crisp air and clear skies create a romantic atmosphere perfect for an outdoor ceremony or reception. Idaho's mountainous terrain provides a breathtaking view for the couple and their guests.

Just Married Glow! M+J said I Do in the mountains

Sixty Chapel in Garden Valley, Idaho is a dream wedding location for couples who are looking for the ideal outdoor wedding venue the Idaho mountains. As a wedding planner, I highly recommend this venue for its stunning mountain views and peaceful surroundings. The venue also has lodging available as part of their wedding packages, with all the modern comforts, making it an ideal Idaho mountain wedding destination.

The outdoor space is impressive with multiple locations available for your rustic mountain wedding ceremony and reception. For M+C's wedding, guests were welcomed into the front lawn of the Barn, where they can enjoy the view and a caffeinated beverage from Royals Coffee Co. before heading down to the The Lower 38 area of the property, which features unbeatable mountain views all around - making it the perfect mountain wedding backdrop. A stunning two-island pond provides ample photo-ops as well.

Guests are then invited back to the Barn area of the property for cocktail hour, reception and of course, dancing! The main reception, held outdoors directly in front of the Barn, featured a clear top tent from Idaho Tents and Events (we wouldn't dare take any views of the mountains or the stars from the guests) anchored by rustic wooden farm tables and chairs supplied by the venue. Modern black table décor offset by white china plates by Flying China and The Little Gem Details gave the reception space a chic vibe. Olive Leaf Floral served stunning romantic arrangements with hints of red, blush and all luscious greenery for both the ceremony and reception. Wedding guests noshed on delectable charcuterie appetizers from Savory n Sweet Inc and modern takes on traditional Filipino cuisine for dinner by Wooden Spoon Idaho. Bespoke wedding cake and desserts by Dulcerella Cakes.

The venue also offers a bridal suite and a groom's room for the wedding party to get ready in, which is a convenient perk for the couple and their attendants. Sixty Chapel also offers lodging for your nearest and dearest guests for the weekend, featuring multiple cabins with all the modern amenities around the property as well as camping options.

Overall, the Sixty Chapel is a wonderful choice for couples who want a romantic and peaceful wedding in the heart of nature. With its rustic charm, breathtaking views, weekend-long lodging and modern amenities - this venue hit all the right (wedding) notes!

Love is in the Air: Helicopter First Look Adventure

As a wedding planner, when M+C approached me and said, hey, we love this idea of a Helicopter First Look with Chasing Light Photography and Base Camp Aviation, I was just over the moon excited! From a first look perspective, it was truly breathtaking. The helicopter added an element of excitement and luxury to the wedding day festivities. M+C were taken on a gorgeous helicopter ride around the Idaho mountains as well as take private photos in a remote mountain location before returning back to Sixty Chapel for their ceremony.

However, it's important to note that this type of entrance requires careful planning and coordination with the helicopter company, venue as well as your other vendors. Additionally, the noise level can be quite loud, so it's important to consider the impact on guests and nearby residents. Safety is always the top priority. Vendor coordination and clear communication between both clients and all the vendors helped make this unique first look a major success! Overall, incorporating a helicopter into a wedding can be a unique and unforgettable experience, but make sure to approach it with caution and careful planning (hint: a wedding planner would be perfect for these types of situations!)
